TriHealth, one of the premier health care organizations in southwest Ohio, is made up of two top-rated area hospitals, Good Samaritan Hospital in the heart of Cincinnati and Bethesda North Hospital in the northeast suburb of Montgomery. The organization includes approximately 50 other locations offering a host of clinical, educational, preventive, and social programs. TriHealth’s non-hospital services include physician practice management, fitness centers and fitness center management, occupational health centers, home health, and hospice care. The organization contracted CTS to install and upgrade the voice and data networks and security systems at various locations. Because these facilities range from extremely old buildings to brand new construction, creating a network to connect them required different design and installation parameters at each facility. In particular, CTS technicians worked with hospital environmental control staff in the older Good Samaritan Hospital building to ensure that installation areas were properly tented, vented, and controlled to prevent contamination from dust and older building materials. Coordination with hospital staff was also required to handle installations in highly sensitive hospital areas such as patient rooms and surgery centers. CTS completed all projects on time and on budget, and continues to provide on-site support to handle all of TriHealth’s networking needs.
