Cinergy Corp. provides gas and electric service to residents and businesses in Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Southeast Indiana. The corporation operates three facilities that warehouse materials and provide space for employee training as well as other offices. As the company continued to expand its services, it found that its existing network could not handle the ever-increasing flow of traffic on its voice and data networks. CTS was contracted to rebuild the company’s older network in one of the three facilities, using up-to-date technology. The project required the installation of new wiring for the network with both copper and fiber optic cable and rebuilding voice and data closets in each building. Additionally, a facility that would be used for expanded broadband service needed to be linked with fiber optic cable to the company’s current broadband system. CTS completed the project on time and on budget, working with Cinergy staff to ensure that the new network would be able to be upgraded easily for future growth as well.
